West Virginia Up to No. 16 in AP Poll

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University women's basketball team is ranked No. 16 in the 18th edition of the AP Top 25 Women's Basketball Poll, released on Monday.
The Mountaineers have been in the poll every week this season.
WVU earned 301 points in the poll. Five Big 12 teams appeared in the rankings, including No. 8 TCU (570), No. 17 Baylor (286), No. 20 Kansas State (220), and No. 21 Oklahoma State (189). Utah is featured in the receiving votes section.
Additionally, the NCAA's NET ranking was released and has the Mountaineers seated at No. 11. The mark is the third highest for a Big 12 school with No. 8 Baylor and No. 9 Kansas State just ahead of the Mountaineers.
West Virginia returns to the floor on Friday, March 7, when they kick off the postseason at the Phillips 66 Big 12 Women's Basketball Championship. The contest will tipoff at 12 p.m. ET and will be against No. 5 Kansas State or No. 12 BYU or No. 13 UCF.
