MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University women's basketball team is ranked No. 18 in the 17th edition of the AP Top 25 Women's Basketball Poll, released on Monday.
The Mountaineers have been in the poll every week this season.
WVU earned 225 points in the poll. Five Big 12 teams appeared in the rankings, including No. 10 TCU (517), No. 14 Kansas State (376), No. 17 Baylor (256) and No. 21 Oklahoma State (147). Utah is featured in the receiving votes section.
Additionally, the NCAA's NET ranking was released and has the Mountaineers seated at No. 13. The mark is the third highest for a Big 12 school with No. 7 Kansas State and No. 9 TCU just ahead of the Mountaineers.
West Virginia returns to the floor on Wednesday, Feb. 26, when they welcome Utah to the WVU Coliseum in Morgantown. The contest will serve as a Coal Rush and will be the Mountaineers final regular season home game. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. ET.
