MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University women's tennis team lost to Marshall, 5-2, on Sunday at Summit Tennis Academy in Morgantown.
Marshall started the match dominantly as it cruised through doubles play to earn the point over West Virginia (6-5).
In singles play, graduate student
Julie Bousseau put WVU on the board in the No. 2 seed match. Bousseau defeated Marshall's Emma Vanderheyden, 6-3, 6-1.
Redshirt sophomore
Maja Dodik had a tough match in the No. 4 spot, losing the first set, 7-6. In the second set, Dodik fell behind, 5-1, before she stormed back to tie it at 5-5. Marshall's Nour El Ouazzani ultimately won, 7-6, to clinch the match.
