
Hammond Signs Two on National Signing Day

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University rifle coach Jon Hammond has announced the signing of two student-athletes on national signing day after signing their National Letters of Intent.
Oceanne Muller has signed to join the Mountaineer roster this season at the start of the spring semester, while Karlie Lynn is set to join next season as part of the 2026 class.
Karlie Lynn | Tussey Mountain High School
Lynn comes to Morgantown from Hopewell, Pennsylvania, where she attended Tussey Mountain High School. She competed for Everett Sportsman Junior Rifle Club for coaches Coltin Rice and Jim Tegeler.
There, she won the Pennsylvania State Interscholastic air rifle and smallbore championship in 2025.
"We have known Karlie for some time through our camps and open events and are really excited to add her to our team," said Hammond. "She has the personality that we look for in team members and has a lot of talent and potential. We are delighted to welcome her to the Mountaineer family and look forward to adding her to our roster next season."
Additionally, she has made the podium at events as a U18 Junior Olympic smallbore gold medalist (2025), USAS National U18 Smallbore and Air Rifle gold medalist (2025), CMP National U18 Smallbore silver medalist (2025), 4-H PA State Air Rifle gold medalist (years 2022 through 2025), 4-H PA State Air Pistol silver medalist (2025) and the ESJRC Team Silver Medal - Scopos National Precision Champion's Division Air Rifle League (2024).
In high school, Lynn also competed and received varsity letters in softball, track & field and Bocce.
While at West Virginia University, Karlie plans on majoring in Forensic Science.
Her parents are Tyler and Megan, and he has one sibling, Urban.
Oceanne Muller | Mommemhein, France
Muller comes to Morgantown from Mommemheim, France. She has twice competed at the Olympic Games, doing so at the 2020 Tokyo Games and again at the 2024 Paris Games. In Tokyo, she finished in fifth place in air rifle and added a 31st-place finish in smallbore. She added another fifth-place finish in air rifle in Paris and a 14th-place finish in mixed team air rifle.
Currently, she is ranked No. 10 in the world rankings in air rifle and 91st in smallbore. On the international stage, she has earned 31 podiums, including 12 gold medals.
She has competed for many club teams, including the St-Hubert club in Ingwiller, then joined the Harthouse Haguenau club, and then, in 2018, the CREPS (Regional Center for Sports and Physical Education) in Strasbourg.
