
Mountaineers Set for Swags Louisville Cross Country Classic

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University cross country team is set to travel to Louisville, Kentucky for the 24th Swags Louisville Cross Country Classic on Saturday, Oct. 4 at E.P. "Tom" Sawyer Park.

WVU is coming off its fifth place finish at the RMU Colonial Invitational. Freshman Aislinn Frazer led the Mountaineers with a sixth place finish.
West Virginia was tabbed No. 13 in the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Poll on Tuesday, after the teams off week. Additionally, the squad was picked second in the USTFCCCA Mid-Atlantic regional rankings, behind No. 1 Penn State.
West Virginia will return to action at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational on Oct. 11, at Schenley Park in Clinton, Pa.
