MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University volleyball team (12-2, 0-2 Big 12) hosts No. 19 BYU (14-1,2-1) on Friday, Oct. 3. First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m. ET, inside the Hope Coliseum in Morgantown, W.Va.
Friday's game is the Coal Rush game. Fans are asked to wear black.
Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance by visiting WVUGAME.com or calling 1-800-WVU GAME. When purchasing online, tickets are $10 each and $5 each for groups of 10 or more. Any remaining tickets are $12 for adults at the ticket window on match day.
WVU student tickets are available at the Mountaineer Ticket Office, located at the Hope Coliseum, and are free with a valid WVU Student I.D. The office, as well as the stadium gates, opens at 5 p.m. on game day.

Friday's match marks the fifth meeting between BYU and West Virginia with the Cougars leading the all-time series, 4-0. They have won all four matchups in straight sets.

Nina Horning lead the Mountaineers with 21 service aces, which ranks fourth in the conference. Their 0.40 aces per set rank seventh in the conference. WVU is currently first in the conference in hitting percentage (0.298) and team service aces (94) and third in the conference in aces per set (1.81).
Heather Olmstead is in her 11th year at the helm of the Cougars, with a record of 271-47. BYU enters the match 14-1 with a conference record of 2-1. In its last outing, BYU beat Cincinnati, 3-1, on Oct.1 in Cincinnati, Ohio. BYU is currently ranked No.19 in the nation.
Junior outside hitter Claire Little Chambers was voted Big 12 Preseason Player of the Year, and outside hitter Suli Davis was voted Big 12 Preseason Freshman of the Year.
Sophomore setter Alex Bower, junior middle blocker Brielle Kemavor and Chambers were all named to the Big 12 Preseason Team.
