MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – WVU Athletics and the Mountaineer Ticket Office announced today updates to student seating at WVU men's basketball home games, designed to enhance the game day experience for students.
Beginning with the 2025-26 season, student seating will transition to a first-come, first-served model, and, in conjunction with a Hope Coliseum seat adjustment, the student section will become fully cohesive and positioned behind the visiting team's basket starting in the 2026-27 season.
2025-26: FIRST-COME, FIRST-SERVED
The first-come, first-served system mirrors the football student ticketing process, giving the most passionate Mountaineer students the opportunity to be closest to the action. This change is designed to foster one of the most energetic student sections in college basketball.
All other aspects of the student ticketing process—including the request, return, and lottery phases—remain in place.
