
Mountaineers Close Regular Season at Wisconsin Nuttycombe Invitational

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University cross country team concludes its regular season on Friday, Oct. 17, at the Wisconsin Nuttycombe Invitational in Madison, Wis.
The women's 6k race is scheduled to begin at 12:50 a.m. at the Zimmer Championship Course. This meet features one of the deepest fields, with six of the top ten teams set to compete.
The Mountaineers return to action after competing at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational, where Mary Delaney led the team with a fourth place finish.
West Virginia was tabbed No. 9 in the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Poll on Oct. 7, after the team's performance in Louisville. Additionally, the squad was picked first in the USTFCCCA Mid-Atlantic regional rankings, ahead of No. 2 Penn State, No. 3 Villanova, No. 3 Georgetown and No. 5 Princeton.
