MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The No. 18-ranked West Virginia University women's basketball team is set to welcome BYU on Saturday, Jan. 4, to the WVU Coliseum in Morgantown for their second straight Big 12 Conference home game.
Tipoff against the Cougars is scheduled for 6 p.m. ET, and gates open at 5 p.m. The contest against BYU will be broadcast live on the Mountaineer Sports Network, including 100.9 WZST-FM, with Andrew Caridi on the call. Fans also can listen to the game on the Varsity Network App.
Additionally, Saturday's game will be broadcast on ESPN+, with Michael Minnich and Warren Baker on the call. Live stats and game notes are available on WVUsports.com.
Tickets for the contest can be purchased at WVUGAME.com or by visiting the Mountaineer Ticket Office, located inside the Gold Gate of the WVU Coliseum.
The contest will serve as Team Impact Day. A special Happy hour will be in effect from doors open to tipoff where select beverages and concessions will be half-off! The first 500 fans in attendance will receive replica basketball court slap koozies.
A $10 parking fee will be required for fans attending this weekend contest. All sales of parking passes will be credit card only and can be purchased upon arrival at the Coliseum on gamedays beginning two and a half hours prior to tip-off.
The matchup will be the third meeting between WVU (11-2, 1-1 Big 12) and Brigham Young (9-4, 0-2 Big 12). Both teams have won one game in the all-time in the series as the contest is the first inside the WVU Coliseum. The Mountaineers won the most recent meeting last season, 76-69, on the road inside the J. Willard Marriott Center.
The Cougars are led by Delaney Gibb who averages 17.1 points per game. Emma Calvert and Amari Whiting also average double-figures with 12.9 and 10.1 points per game. Whiting adds a team leading 4.2 assists while Marya Hudgins has recorded 6.0 rebounds.
BYU lost its first two Big 12 Conference games, falling to Arizona and most recently to Cincinnati.

Kyah Watson has grabbed 7.8 rebounds per game which ranks sixth in the Big 12 while her 3.0 steals per game ranks first.
The Big 12's leaders in steals last season, Watson (39), Quinerly (32) and Harrison (25), are at it again this season averaging over two steals per contest. Junior guard

Sydney Woodley have also gotten in on the action with 27 and 26 steals this season, giving WVU five players with 20+ steals through 13 games. The Mountaineers' 14.5 steals per game are the best in the Big 12 and fourth nationally.
The Mountaineers have forced 15+ turnovers in every game this season, to average 25.5 per game. The mark ranks ninth in the nation. The Mountaineers have forced 30-plus turnovers in four games, including a season-high 44. WVU ranks fourth in the nation with 14.5 steals per game and holds a +8.54 turnover margin.
West Virginia is averaging 82.5 points per game while outscoring their opponents by an average of 31.7 points.
Quinerly currently sits 12th in points at 1,588, and behind Olayinka Sanni (2005-08) with 1,602. She also ranked 7
th in steals with 263 and is just behind Alexis Basil (1984-87) with 268.
