MORGANTOWN, W.Va. –
The No. 3-ranked West Virginia University rifle team is set for three weekend matches against No. 11 Ohio State, No. 17 Morehead State and No. 11 Akron on Saturday and Sunday on the road.
Saturday's match against Ohio State and Morehead State is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. ET inside Converse Hall in Columbus, Ohio. WVU then ventures down the road in the Buckeye State to take on Akron inside the Robert A. Pinn Shooting Range in Akron, Ohio.

The Mountaineers are 51-0 all-time against Ohio State in a series that dates back to 1974. West Virginia adds a 23-0 mark against the Zips in a series that began in 1952. WVU adds another perfect record against Morehead State, leading the all-time series 2-0, with the teams first meeting in 2008.
The Mountaineers have won 22 straight regular season matches, dating back to the beginning of the 2023-24 season. West Virginia's 4740.2 aggregate score is the best in the nation. The 2355.1 mark in smallbore is also the best while the 2385.1 in air rifle sits second.
Sophomore
Griffin Lake is averaging a team-leading 1186.2 aggregate average which is the sixth best in the country. Senior
Natalie Perrin averages a 596.5 in air rifle, the eighth best mark in the country. Lake's 590.3 in smallbore is the fifth best average this season.
