MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Play was suspended late in the second round due to darkness at the Nemacolin Collegiate Invitational on Monday in Farmington, Pennsylvania, with WVU leading the 14-team field.
In round one, WVU shot Even par and had a six-stroke lead over second-place George Mason and a 12-shot lead over Campbell and George Washington.
After the first round,
Kaleb Wilson and
Pierce Grieve were tied for the lead at 1-under-par. In round two, Wilson currently leads the field at 5-under-par with two holes to complete that round.
Todd Duncan and
Carson Kammann (playing as an individual) shot Even par in the first round and were in third place.
Ryan Leach, also playing as an individual, shot +1, while
Max Green (+2) and
Nick Turowski (+6) rounded out WVU's team scoring.
Westy McCabe is playing as an individual and shot +8 in round one.
Play will resume at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday with the completion of the second round. Golfers will immediately continue into the final round later Tuesday morning.
