MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University golf team was named an All-Academic Team by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).
The Mountaineers earned the recognition for the seventh time in the last eight years after posting a team grade-point average above 3.0 for the 2023-24 season.
"I am very proud of our guys and their hard work in the classroom this season," said coach Sean Covich. "It's never easy balancing a busy travel schedule with a demanding academic workload, but the guys managed to achieve success in the classroom and on the golf course this season. A big thank you goes out to our academic staff, mainly Bree Porter, who makes sure the guys have what they need to get their academic work completed."
Each year, the GCAA recognizes collegiate golf teams who have earned a 3.0 or higher GPA for both the fall and spring semesters.
