MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University track and field team was led by redshirt freshman
Annishka McDonald in the women's high jump on Friday at the Dalton Ebanks Invitational in Fairfax, Virginia.
McDonald finished second overall in the women's high jump at the 1.68-meter mark, while senior
Abigale Mullings followed behind at 1.63 meters.
On the track, redshirt sophomore
Zara Zervos boasted a personal best in the women's 3,000-meter steeplechase posting a time of 11:29.28 to finish fifth.
Freshman Lily Haught also added an impressive time in the women's 200 meters, running for a time of 25.62 in her outdoor debut of the event.
Next, the Mountaineers will continue at the Dalton Ebanks Invitational on Saturday afternoon. West Virginia is set to compete in the women's 400 meter run at 1:30 p.m. ET, followed by the women's 4x400 meter relay at 4 p.m. West Virginia concludes the weekend with the women's 1,500 meters at 7:10 p.m.
