
Williamson Leads West Virginia at Raleigh Relays

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University track and field team completed the final day of the Raleigh Relays on Saturday afternoon at the Paul Derr Track and Field Facility in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Redshirt junior Cassandra Williamson led the way for West Virginia in the women's 800 meters, running for a season best time of 2:05.94 to finish fifteenth overall. Freshman Kishay Rowe added a personal best in the event with a time of 2:07.31, followed by redshirt senior Mikenna Vanderheyden with a time of 2:07.81.
Freshman Lily Haught had her collegiate debut in the women's 400-meter hurdles, notching a time of 1:02.87.
Next up, West Virginia will travel to the Dalton Ebanks Invitational hosted by George Mason University on April 5-6. The meet is set to be held at the George Mason Stadium in Fairfax, Virginia.
