West Virginia (13-7, 2-6 Big 12) began the match losing the doubles point. The pairing of junior
Michaela Kucharova and senior
Momoko Nagato lost in the No. 1 spot, 6-2. The doubles team comprised of junior
Tatiana Lipatova and graduate student
Ting-Pei Chang fell in the No. 2 seed match, 6-1.
In singles play, the Mountaineers could not mount any sort of resistance. Freshman
Maya Bordereau lost in the No. 2 seed match, 6-3, 6-0, to No. 4-ranked Ange Oby Kajuru.
In the No. 3 seed match, redshirt sophomore
Maja Dodik lost, 6-0, 6-2. Oklahoma State clinched the match as Chang lost in the No. 5 spot, 6-0, 6-2.
