McCabe Selected to Compete at NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championship

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Redshirt junior Ceili McCabe of the West Virginia University track and field team qualified for the 2024 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships, as announced by the NCAA Tuesday night.
The championships will be held in Boston, Massachusetts, at the TRACK at New Balance on Friday, March 8 and Saturday, March 9.
McCabe was selected to compete in the women's mile, after posting a personal best and program-record time of 4:30.24 at the Dr. Sander Invitational Columbia Challenge in New York, New York, on Jan. 27.
The women's mile semifinal is set to take place on March 8 at 7 p.m. ET, followed by the mile final on March 9 at 7 p.m.
Last time out, McCabe finished third in the mile at the Big 12 Indoor Championship on Feb. 24, with a time of 4:38.57. The Vancouver, British Columbia, native also helped the team secure a conference title in the women's distance medley relay, running for a 4:39.28 in the last leg of the relay.
