West Virginia Earns Highest Ranking in Program History in Latest ITA Poll

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University tennis team is ranked No. 47 in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Top 75 Poll.
This is the highest ranking in program history, and it is the first time West Virginia (9-1) has been ranked since it was No. 72 in the poll on March 21, 2023.
The Mountaineers have their best record through 10 matches since the 2015 season when they also began 9-1. WVU is currently riding a four-match winning streak.
With a win against either Navy or Mount St. Mary's, West Virginia will reach double-digit wins for the second straight season. It would be the first time the Mountaineers have accomplished this feat since the 2006 and 2007 seasons.
Up next, West Virginia will face Navy at 10 a.m. ET and Mount St. Mary's at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 24, at Summit Tennis Academy in Morgantown.
