"We have to learn quick but flush this," West Virginia coach
Josh Eilert said following Saturday's loss at Texas. "TCU is No. 1 in the country in fastbreak points and they get downhill. They really turn people over and Texas is not a team that turns people over, and if we're loose with the ball it could be very ugly in Fort Worth."
Forward Emanuel Miller is averaging a team-best 16.5 points per game, which is sixth in the Big 12. The Scarborough, Ontario, resident is also grabbing 5.9 rebounds per game, tops among TCU's starters.
The 6-foot-7 senior has scored double figures in his last 11 games and has topped 20 points seven times, most recently at Baylor on Jan. 27.
Ernest Udeh Jr, a 6-foot-11, 260-pounder, joins Miller in the front court and is averaging 4.2 points and 5.5 rebounds per contest.
Dixon's three-guard lineup features 6-foot-8 senior Micah Peavy (11.1 ppg.), 6-foot-3 senior Trevian Tennyson (10.1) and 6-foot-2 senior Avery Anderson III (8.9).
TCU (16-7, 5-5) lost 71-59 at 14
th-ranked Iowa State last Saturday. Miller led the way with 18 points, on 8-of-12 shooting, with six rebounds.
Six of the Horned Frogs' seven losses have been to NET Quadrant I opponents and they are 4-4 against the AP Top 25, including 4-2 against Top 15 teams.
Dixon, the former Pitt coach, is one win shy of matching Billy Tubbs for second in TCU history with 156 victories. His record in eight seasons there is 155-104.
Tonight's game will tip off at 8 p.m. ET and will be televised on ESPN+ (James Westling and Bryndon Manzer).
