
Torres Leads Diving at Rutgers Diving Invitational

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Divers from the West Virginia University men's and women's swimming and diving teams wrapped up the first day at the Rutgers Diving Invitational at the Rutgers Aquatics Center in Piscataway, New Jersey, on Thursday.
On the men's 3-meter, junior Christian Torres placed first ahead of senior Hayden Apel and sophomore Owen Recker. Torres finished with 292.85 total points, Apel totaled 282.10 and Recker scored 236.85 points.
Senior Sarah Krusinski led the way for the women's team on the 1-meter, placing fourth with 259.50 points. Junior Abigail Sullivan finished seventh with 232.35 points and Elysa Grossman placed 11th.
The Mountaineers return to competition on Friday in the men's 1-meter and women's 3-meter.
