
Track and Field Announces 2024-25 Indoor Schedule

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and the track and field team, released the 2024-25 indoor schedule on Wednesday afternoon.
The squad kicks off the 2024-25 campaign by sending split squads to the YSU Icebreaker on Dec. 6 in Youngstown, Ohio at the Watson and Tressel Training Site. West Virginia then heads to the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener on Dec. 7 in Boston, Massachusetts, which will be held at the Track & Tennis Center.
West Virginia returns to competition on Jan. 17, for the YSU Collegiate Invitational in Youngstown, Ohio. Additionally, The Mountaineers will travel to University Park, Pennsylvania for the Nittany Lion Challenge on Jan. 18 at the Multi-Sport Facility & Horace Ashenfelter III Indoor Track.
WVU then will head back to University Park, Pa. for the Penn State National Open on Jan. 31 through Feb. 1.
The Mountaineers travel back to University Park, Pa., for the third straight weekend on Feb. 8 for the Sykes & Sabock Challenge. West Virginia will also send student athletes to the Bruce Lehane Scarlet & White Invite on Feb. 8 in Boston, Mass.
Next, West Virginia will compete at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational in Boston, Mass., on Feb. 15.
To conclude the regular indoor season, the Mountaineers will once again send split squads to University Park, Pa. on Feb. 21 for the Penn State Tune-Up, and to Boston, Mass., for the Terrier DMR Challenge/Last Chance Meet.
West Virginia will open the post season at the Big 12 Indoor Championships, which will be hosted by Texas Tech on Feb. 28 – March 1. This year's indoor conference championship will be held at the Sports Performance Center in Lubbock, Texas.
The Mountaineers looked to conclude the season at the NCAA Championships on March 14 and 15. This year's championships will take place at the Virginia Beach Sports Center in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
