
West Virginia Holds at No. 18 in AP Poll

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University women's basketball team held firm at No. 18 in the ninth edition of the AP Top 25 Women's Basketball Poll, released on Monday.
It marks the second straight poll the Mountaineers have received the ranking.
WVU earned 233 points in the poll. A total of three Big 12 teams appeared in the rankings, including No. 11 TCU (475) and No. 12 Kansas State (452). Utah, Oklahoma State and Baylor are featured in the receiving votes section.
Additionally, the NCAA's NET ranking was released and has the Mountaineers seated at No. 13.
West Virginia takes on UCF on Wednesday, Jan. 1, in the Big 12 Conference home opener. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. ET inside the WVU Coliseum.
