MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The acclaim for West Virginia's JJ Quinerly continues as the senior guard earns another preseason honor as she was named to the Wooden Award Preseason Top 50 Watchlist.
Selected by a preseason poll of collegiate basketball experts, the list includes 50 student-athletes who are front-runners for the Wooden All-American Team and Most Outstanding Player Award.
Quinerly has also been named to the Ann Meyers Drysdale Award Preseason Watch List and to the Naismith Trophy Watch List.
The Norfolk, Virginia native ranks 21st all time in points with 1,378 and will likely break into the top five by the seasons end. She scored 652 points, 97 steals and 89 assists last season.
The list will be narrowed down throughout the season and members of the Wooden Award All-American Team will be announced the week of the Elite 8 during the NCAA Tournament. The winner of the 2025 John R. Wooden Award will be presented on April 11, 2025.
