
McCabe Named Student-Athlete of the Week

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Senior Ceili McCabe of the West Virginia University cross country team has been named the WVU Student-Athlete of the Week, presented by University Apartments.
McCabe finished in first place at the Live in Lou Classic on Oct. 5 in Louisville, Kentucky with a personal best time of 16:06.0 in the women's 5k. With the time, the senior broke the meet record in a field of 263 student athletes.
Saturday's race marked McCabe's first cross country race since 2022 in a West Virginia uniform.
The Mountaineers are slated to compete at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational on Oct. 12 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The race is set to be held at Schenley Park and kicks off at 10:45 a.m. ET.
