Mountaineers Host Mount Aloysius on Saturday

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The No. 4-ranked West Virginia University rifle team is at home for the second straight weekend, taking on Mount Aloysius on Saturday. The match is slated to begin at 12 p.m. ET inside the WVU Shell Building.
The meeting marks the first time in program history the pair have met.
Last time out, West Virginia defeated No. 13 Memphis 4733-4699. WVU claimed smallbore 2352-2321 and air rifle 2381-2378 while sophomore Griffin Lake posted the highest aggregate score with a career-best 1189.
The Mountaineers have won 17 straight regular season matches dating back to the beginning of last season. The Mountaineers' 4735 aggregate and 2352.3 smallbore averages are the second best in the nation while its 2382.7 average is the third best in the nation.
Freshman Ashlyn Blake is averaging a team-leading 1185.6 aggregate average which is the seventh best in the country and fellow freshman Camryn Camp's 597 air rifle average is the eighth best in the nation. Blake and Griffin Lake's 589.6 smallbore average is the sixth best mark in the country.
