
Wisman Takes Silver in Team Air Rifle at ISSF World Junior Championship

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Freshman Jacob Wisman found the podium in team air rifle competition at the ISSF World Junior Championship in Lima, Peru during the opening day on Monday.
Wisman teamed up with fellow Americans Brayden Peiser and Tyler Wee to claim second place. The trio combined to score an 1877.6 to finish just behind team India in first with an 1883.5.
The Gladesville, West Virginia native posted a 625.9 (103.6-105.0-105.0-103.7-103.7-104.9) across his six series to finish in 11th place overall on the individual leaderboard.
Sophomore Lauri Syrja, who is competing for team Finland, finished just ahead in 10th place. He scored a 626.0 (103.3-104.2-105.7-104.5-102.9-105.4) across his six series.
Wisman and Syrja, along with sophomore Griffin Lake, now turn their attention to smallbore which is scheduled to begin Tuesday morning.
