MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Senior
Ceili McCabe and redshirt junior
Cassandra Williamson of the West Virginia University track and field team set a pair of program records to highlight the Mountaineers in competition at a pair of meets on Saturday.
McCabe's school record came in the women's mile with a time of 4:30.24, which currently ranks No. 2 in the NCAA so far this season. McCabe posted the time as she opened her indoor season at the Dr. Sander Invitational Columbia Challenge in New York, New York.
Williamson, along with the rest of the Mountaineer squad, wrapped up the second day of the Penn State National Open at the Multi-Sport Facility & Horace Ashenfelter III Indoor Track in University Park, Pennsylvania. She finished second in the women's 600-meter race, claiming the top spot on WVU's all-time list with a 1:30.08 finish.

Mikenna Vanderheyden finished fifth overall in the 1,000 meters with a time of 2:49.15.
Freshman Lily Haught ran a time of 25.51 in the 200-meter dash, while classmate
Izayah Everett set a personal best, racing for a 25.66 finish.

Sarah Tait appeared in her indoor debut, placing fifth in the 3,000-meter invitational run with a time of 9:20.45.
The 4x400 meter relay which consisted of Haught, Williamson, freshman
Cate Pickering and freshman
Kishay Rowe placed fifth in the event with a 3:46.13 finish.
On the field, freshman
Sophia Ludwig appeared in her collegiate debut in the women's triple jump, leaping for 12.05 meters to capture fifth place.
In the high jump, senior
Abigale Mullings finished seventh overall, jumping for 1.70 meters.
Next up, West Virginia will compete in two meets on Saturday, Feb. 3. The Mountaineers will travel to the Sykes & Sabock Challenge in University Park, Pa., which is slated for a 10:30 a.m. ET start. The Gold and Blue will also head to the Bruce Lehane Scarlett and White Invitational at the Track & Tennis Center in Boston, Massachusetts, and will kick off at 10 a.m.
