Maya Bordereau beat Marshall's Doroteja Joksovic and Emily Schut, 6-2.
In singles play, junior
Camilla Bossi fell in No. 1 singles to Marshall's Johanna Strom, 2-6, 7-5, 3-6. Graduate student
Love-Star Alexis lost the first set, 6-2, before rallying to force a third set. Alexis lost to Marshall's Emma Vanderheyden, 3-6, in the third set.
Senior
Momoko Nagato earned the first singles victory of the day for West Virginia, defeating Marshall's Doroteja Joksovic, 6-2, 6-4. Freshman
Maya Bordereau earned the second singles victory for the Mountaineers, defeating Marshall's Aisling McGrane, 6-3, 6-4.
Redshirt sophomore
Maja Dodik secured the victory for West Virginia, defeating Marshall's Emily Schut, 6-2, 6-0.
This is West Virginia's first 3-0 start since the 2021 season.
