MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University track and field program concluded the year with a record 21 All-Big 12 award winners.
Sophomore Cassandra Williamson earned All-Big 12 honors in the 800-meter. Williamson completed the 800 meters in 2:06.87 to earn fifth.
"Leaving the track today, we added a few more to the All-Big 12 team," coach Sean Cleary said. "Cass earned her 4th such award in a very tactical 800 meters."
Freshman Olivia Cress competed in the high jump and earned her first All-Big 12 award. Cress earned a height of 1.67 meters and secured sixth.
"Also joining Katherine and Ceili with this distinction was Olivia Cress in the high jump," coach Cleary added. "I was happy with many of the performances from the team this weekend, including having eight competitors in finals on the final day."
Seniors Tessa Constantine and Sada Wright, along with redshirt seniors Mikaela Lucki and Hayley Jackson, concluded their collegiate careers at the conference championships this weekend.
"I would like to take this time to mention that our seniors who competed at this meet will be missed very deeply," Cleary said. "The leadership, work, ethics and supportive nature should make every Mountaineer very proud of them. Thank you to Sada, Tess, Mikaela and Hayley Jackson who have graduated from WVU having achieved an incredible 14 All-Big 12 awards."
The Mountaineers return to action at the NCAA East Preliminary Rounds from May 24-27 in Jacksonville, Florida. Live stats are available on WVUsports.com.
