MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University tennis team (11-10, 1-7 Big 12) concludes regular season play on Tuesday, April 18, against No. 12 Iowa State. The match, originally scheduled for Saturday, April 8, in Morgantown, will now take place in Lawrence, Kansas prior to the Big 12 Championships that will begin on Thursday, April 20.
First serve against the Cyclones is set for 5 p.m. ET at the Jayhawk Tennis Center.
West Virginia and Iowa State will meet on the tennis court for the 12th time since joining the Big 12 on Tuesday. The Cyclones hold the all-time advantage over the Mountaineers, 10-1, since the series began in 2009. In its last meeting, ISU topped WVU, 4-0, in the first round of the 2022 Big 12 Championships in Fort Worth, Texas.
ISU comes to Morgantown with an overall record of 16-4 (6-2 Big 12), coming off a 4-1 win against No. 35 Texas Tech on April 16.
The Mountaineers enter the weekend after falling to Texas Tech, 7-0, on April 14, in Morgantown, before suffering a 6-1 loss to No. 50 TCU on April 16.
