
Divers Conclude Zones

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University men's and women's diving teams concluded competition at the 2023 NCAA Zone A Diving Championships on Wednesday, March 8, at the Aquatic Center at Mylan Park in Morgantown.
Both, men and women, closed the week on platform. A total of 16 men and 23 women competed on the final day of competition, with all competitors from the men's preliminary rounds reaching finals, while the top 18 divers from the preliminary rounds reached finals for the women.
WVU had three divers compete on day three of Zones, including sophomores Glenn Eloriaga and Sarah Krusinski and freshman Abigail Sullivan.
In the women's platform finals Krusinski led the way for WVU, entering in 15th place with a 211.20 total, before adding 209.10 in finals to remain and finish in 15th. Sullivan entered finals right behind Krusinski in 16th with a score of 210.25, then fell to 18th, with a 403.75 total.
For the men, Eloriaga entered finals in 14th with a score of 276.50, before falling one spot with a 547.40 total.
With the conclusion of Zones, competition has wrapped up for the men's and women's diving team's 2023 season. The men's and women's swimming teams are set for competition at the CSCAA National Invitational Championship from March 9-11, in Elkhart, Indiana.
