
WVU Plays Host to Cleveland State and Howard

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University tennis team (7-3, 0-0 Big 12) continues its home stint this weekend for a pair of matches on Saturday, March 4, against Cleveland State, followed by a matchup against Howard. Both matches will take place at the Summit Tennis Academy in Morgantown.
First serve against the Vikings is scheduled for 10 a.m. ET. Competition against the Bison is set to begin at 3 p.m. Live stats and a live stream for both matches can be found on WVUsports.com.
Cleveland State comes to Morgantown with an overall record of 7-5, coming off a 7-0 win against St. Bonaventure. During last year's competition, the Mountaineers defeated the Vikings, 7-0. WVU leads the all-time series, 4-0, since it began in 2016.
West Virginia is set to face-off against Howard for the first time in program history. The Bison (2-4, 0-0 MEAC) will enter Saturday's competition after facing Georgetown on March 3. Last time out, Howard suffered a loss against Navy, 2-5.
The Mountaineers enter the weekend after a 6-1 win against Morgan State on Feb. 25, in Morgantown.
