MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Fifth-year guard Danni Nichols from the West Virginia University women's basketball team was placed on the 2022-23 Academic All-District Team, the College Sports Communicators (formerly the College Sports Information Directors of America) announced on Tuesday.

With the recognition, Nichols advances to the CSC Academic All-America ballot, where first-, second- and third-team Academic All-America selections will be announced in early mid-March.

Nichols holds a perfect 4.0 in her sports coaching graduate studies while finishing her undergraduate studies with a 3.9 GPA. She earns the academic all-district honor for the first time in her WVU career.
