WVU to Compete at Penn State National Open

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University cross country team heads to State College, Pennsylvania, to compete in the Penn State National Open at Blue and White Golf Course on Friday, Oct. 14.
The women's 6k race is set to begin at 10:45 a.m. ET. Live stats will be available at WVUsports.com.
The Mountaineers last competed at the Penn State National Open in 2019.
West Virginia is one of 18 schools competing in the race. Redshirt freshman Emily Bryce, redshirt senior Rachel Butler, redshirt junior Katherine Dowie, sixth-year senior Mikaela Lucki, redshirt junior Ceili McCabe, redshirt senior Jeanne Reix Charat, redshirt senior Mikenna Vanderheyden, redshirt sophomore Megan Weaver, redshirt senior Charlotte Wood and redshirt sophomore Abbey Yuhasz will represent WVU at the meet.
In their last meet, West Virginia ran at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational. Weaver led the Mountaineers in the invitational, finishing 15th and setting a new career-best in the process. Weaver's performance was good enough to earn Big 12 Runner of the Week.
