MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – On Monday CBS Sports college football writer Dennis Dodd examined the roll of virtual recruiting since the coronavirus pandemic hit the country last spring.
He polled several prominent college football coaches on the importance of virtual recruiting since quarantining measures were implemented to stop the spread of the virus.
West Virginia coach Neal Brown was among the prominent college football coaches Dodd polled in his piece.
Here is some of what Brown had to say about virtual recruiting, "I do think we'll do more online stuff. I do think we'll be showing prospects a tour of your facility (virtually) before they ever come to see if they want to come. We weren't doing that before."
On the prospects of landing a prospect without a personal meeting, Brown added, "I don't think so, but you'll be six feet apart. You won't be hugging them. You won't be shaking their hands. I do see that going forward."
