MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Anything can happen when two Mountaineers get together on national radio and that's what took place earlier today when West Virginia University football coach Neal Brown was a guest on The Pat McAfee Show on CBS Sports Radio.
"Our team, just like about everybody else, has hit their quarantine peak here," Brown joked.
Twenty minutes into their interview, Brown encouraged McAfee to return to his alma mater to catch a Mountaineer football game and sing Take Me Home, Country Roads as is customary after a home victory.
After McAfee and his co-hosts broke out into their version of the song's chorus, he asked Brown if every bar in Morgantown still plays Country Roads at midnight.
"I'm going to assume yes, but listen, you don't ask questions you don't want to know the answers to," Brown answered.
