MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Three West Virginia University football players have signed free agent contracts following the conclusion of the 2020 NFL Draft.
Cornerback
Keith Washington II signed with the New Orleans Saints, cornerback
Hakeem Bailey signed with the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs while wide receiver
George Campbell inked a free agent contract with the New York Jets.
All three signings were announced on their Twitter accounts Saturday evening.
Campbell caught just 19 passes for 469 yards during his one year with the Mountaineers in 2019, but a team-best seven of those receptions went for touchdowns. The 6-foot-4, 183-pound Florida State transfer's best game came in West Virginia's upset victory over Kansas State when he caught five passes for 92 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
He also hauled in an 83-yard touchdown reception at Baylor – West Virginia's longest play from scrimmage for the season. Combining his three seasons at Florida State, the Clearwater, Florida, resident caught 32 passes for 675 yards and seven touchdowns in 34 career college games.

Bailey was a three-year performer for West Virginia after transferring from Iowa Western Community College. He appeared in 35 games for WVU, starting 21, and finished ninth in the Big 12 in passes defended with 10 during his senior season.
The two-time Academic All-Big 12 First Team performer ranked fourth on the team in tackles with 58 and picked off a pass against Kansas State to help seal the victory.
The Atlanta resident's three-year totals include 135 total tackles, 4 ½ tackles for losses, 18 pass breakups and a pair of interceptions.
Washington, who began his college career at Michigan before transferring to Copiah-Lincoln Community College and then to West Virginia, was a stellar two-year performer for the Mountaineers.
During his junior season in 2018, Washington was responsible for three interceptions, including a 51-yard pick six at Texas Tech to help the Mountaineers hold off the Red Raiders.
This past season, Washington was responsible for nine pass breakups and three interceptions to earn All-Big 12 Second Team honors. The Prattville, Alabama, resident started 17 of 22 career games for West Virginia and following the season was invited to play in the East-West Shrine Game.

Including nine games as a freshman at Michigan, Washington produced 66 tackles, 2 ½ tackles for losses, 1 ½ sacks, six interceptions and 18 pass breakups in 31 Division I contests.
Other Mountaineer players who could potentially sign free agent deals in the coming days include defensive end

Rex Sunahara.
Offensive tackle
Colton McKivitz was selected in the fifth round by the San Francisco 49ers during the third day of the NFL Draft on Saturday, while Kenny Robinson, Jr., a two-year safety for the Mountaineers who did not return for his junior season in 2019, was taken one pick ahead of McKivitz by the Carolina Panthers.
Robinson played in the XFL before the league play was suspended earlier this spring due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
