MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – COVID-19 may have canceled this year's men's basketball Backyard Brawl, but that doesn't mean we still can't put up a fight!
 
Thanks to EQT, the Mountaineer Sports Network from Learfield IMG College is presenting a special rebroadcast of West Virginia's 84-81 overtime victory over Pitt at historic Fitzgerald Field House on Saturday, Dec. 10, 1988.
 
The re-airing of this game is part of MSN's special Backyard Brawl Rewind taking place on Thursday, Dec. 24, and Friday, Dec. 25.
 
That's when the dulcet tones of legendary "Voice of the Mountaineers" Jack Fleming and his sidekick, Woody O'Hara, will once again invade our airways in this edited, two-hour rebroadcast on select MSN affiliates throughout the state.
 
Some affiliates are planning to re-air the game on Friday. Check below for stations and airtimes.
 
The rebroadcast will also be available on all of WVU's social media platforms, WVUsports.com, the WVU Gameday app, as well as your favorite podcasting service beginning at 7 p.m. on Christmas Eve.
 
A feature story with exclusive commentary from Mountaineer standouts Darryl Prue and Herbie Brooks will also be posted on WVUsports.com that evening.  
 
In addition, beginning at 2 p.m., edited rebroadcasts of West Virginia's 2005 victory over Pitt, the 2009 win against the Panthers in the Big East Tournament and the 2010 triumph at the Coliseum will be streamed on Facebook Live. 
 
Special Backyard Brawl throwback content will be posted all day long on all of West Virginia's social media platforms.
