Women’s Hoops Television Coverage Announced

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University women's basketball team will make four appearances on national networks, with six additional games, including four at home, to air regionally or locally as announced Tuesday.
The Mountaineers' Big 12 opener at Kansas State on Sunday, Jan. 5, is set to air on FOX Sports Networks. Tipoff is set for 1 p.m. EST at Bramlage Coliseum in Manhattan, Kansas. WVU will appear on FSN again on Sunday, Jan. 12, when Texas comes to the WVU Coliseum for a 1 p.m. contest.
WVU will make its first national appearance of the year on Saturday, Jan. 18, when it takes on defending national champion Baylor in an 8 p.m. EST tipoff at Ferrell Arena in Waco, Texas. Just one week later, the Mountaineers will again play on FS1 on Sunday, Jan. 26, when they travel to Fort Worth for an 8:30 p.m. EST contest against TCU at Schollmaier Arena.
The team's lone ESPN appearance will come on Sunday, Feb. 2, when West Virginia hosts Iowa State at the WVU Coliseum. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. on ESPNU.
The Mountaineers add two more nationally televised contests in February. On Monday, Feb. 17, the team heads to Austin, Texas, for a rematch with the Longhorns at Frank Erwin Center that is set to air on FS1 starting at 8:30 p.m. EST. West Virginia will then host Baylor on Monday, Feb. 24, in a 7 p.m. tip that is set to air live on FS1 from the WVU Coliseum.
West Virginia's tilt with Texas Tech on Saturday, Feb. 15, will air regionally on AT&T Sportsnet Pittsburgh. Tipoff is set for 5 p.m. at the WVU Coliseum. The team also will host Kansas on AT&T Sportsnet Pittsburgh on Saturday, Feb. 22, in a 7 p.m. contest in Morgantown.
Additionally, a pair of games will air locally on Nexstar. The team's Jan. 15 matchup with Oklahoma will tip at 7 p.m., while WVU's regular-season finale against TCU on Saturday, March 7, will start at 6 p.m.
The Philipps 66 Big 12 Women's Basketball Championship will be televised as well. First-round games on Thursday, March 12, will air on FOX College Sports (FCS), while quarterfinal games on Friday, March 13, will air on FSN. The semifinals, set for Saturday, March 14, will broadcast live on FS2 while the championship game on Sunday, March 15, air on ESPN2.
