MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University rowing team has announced the addition of 29 members to the Mountaineer novice squad.
Joining the team this fall are Amber Blake, Elizabeth Cassidy, Abigail Clasgens, Lindsay Crum, Lisa Eller, Alexandria Fabiano, Grace Frohnapfel, Isabelle Hidalgo, Kayli Kotchian, Madison Lindung, Molly Long, Rebecca McCracken, Kathleen Meldrum, Ruth Mierzejewski, Alexis Moody, Meredith Pavlovich, Kara Phelps, Michaela Pulick, Gabrielle Riggleman, Kylie Roberts, Madison Schauer, Calla Solomon, Amanda Starliper, Lucie Steinmetz, Pareera Uqaily, Marissa Venezia, Kalyse Wood, Laura Yates and Shawnna Yearwood.
"First, I would like to thank all of the individuals who attended tryouts. This year's group had a great attitude and attacked the tryouts with purpose and conviction," said assistant coach Tina Griffith. "Those who did not make the squad should be proud of their efforts, and those who did make the squad really rose to the top by catching our eyes in a positive and hopeful manner. We are looking forward to putting in some strong, hard work over the next few months to help these individuals develop themselves athletically and personally."
