
Eddy Reaches Junior Final

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Rising sophomore Jared Eddy of the West Virginia University rifle team finished fourth in the junior men's 10m air rifle competition on June 27, at the 2019 USA Shooting National Championships for Rifle and Pistol at the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit in Fort Benning, Georgia.
The Columbus, Georgia, native just missed his second podium finish of the week, as he earned a final total of 1239.0. Eddy shot 617.7 on June 26 and 620.3 on Thursday for a two-day qualifying score of 1238.0. He finished seventh in the final with a 142.0 mark and earned one additional point toward his final total.
Eddy's two-day score placed him 12th in the open competition, the highest collegiate finish.
Earlier this week, Eddy won the junior men's 50m rifle 3 positions title on June 23 with a 2336 total.
