MORGANTOWN, W.Va. –
After picking up a pair of wins at home last weekend, the West Virginia University tennis team (8-3, 0-1 Big 12) travels to Texas for two conferences matches at Texas Tech and TCU from March 15-17.
Friday's matchup with Texas Tech is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. ET at the McLeod Tennis Center in Lubbock. Fans can follow the contest against the Lady Raiders via
StatBroadcast.
Sunday's contest with TCU is set to begin at 2 p.m. ET at the Bayard H. Friedmann Tennis Center in Fort Worth. Fans can follow the action against the Horned Frogs via TCU's

"Everything we've done up to this point has helped us prepare for the Big 12 season. We're excited it's here, and we're looking forward to it," said head coach
Miha Lisac. "We'll be as ready as we can be this season. With the first couple matches on the road, it's a long way to travel. There's a chance for some outdoor matches, so that's some adversity we'll have to deal with. But we've had to deal with adversity already this season, and I think, for the most part, we've handled it well."
The Mountaineers will play their second Big 12 match of the season against Texas Tech. In the series, WVU has yet to record a win over the Lady Raiders. In last season's contest, then-No.13-ranked Texas Tech defeated West Virginia, 4-0, in Morgantown. Friday's contest is the first conference match of the season for TTU.
Texas Tech (10-4) comes into the weekend ranked No. 25 in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA)/Oracle team rankings. TTU's Felicity Maltby is ranked No. 47 nationally in the latest ITA/Oracle singles rankings. The Red Raiders enter Friday's match riding a three-match win streak, including a pair of wins over No. 22 Illinois and No. 38 Rice. Texas Tech has also won seven of its last eight matches.
WVU also is seeking its first win over TCU on Sunday. Last season, the Mountaineers competed against the Horned Frogs twice. The two teams last competed at the 2018 Big 12 tournament, where TCU defeated WVU, 5-1, in the first round.
TCU (7-4, 1-0 Big 12) is coming off a win over No. 50-ranked Baylor after dropping two straight contests against ranked opponents. Prior to Sunday's contest, the Horned Frogs are scheduled to host Iowa State on Friday. TCU's Aleksa Cveticanin and Ellie Douglas enter Sunday's contest ranked No. 41 nationally in the latest ITA/Oracle doubles rankings.
