MAC Spring Events Schedule Set

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (February 15, 2019) – The West Virginia University Mountaineer Athletic Club (MAC) has announced the dates for the 2019 Coaches Caravan presented by United Bank, the Charleston Scholarship Dinner presented by Northeast Natural Energy and Subway Development of West Virginia/Greg Hammond and the WVU Classics at Berry Hills Country Club and Pete Dye Golf Club presented by Segra. Each event affords MAC members and Mountaineer fans the opportunity to meet, greet and visit with director of athletics Shane Lyons, new football coach Neal Brown, basketball coaches Bob Huggins and Mike Carey, as well as many other WVU coaches, administrators and current and former student-athletes.

"Our coaches and administration look forward to traveling throughout the state to discuss Mountaineer Athletics and visiting our loyal fans and supporters. Additionally, I would like to recognize Northeast Natural Energy and Subway Development of West Virginia/Greg Hammond for their support of the Charleston Scholarship Dinner, and Segra for their commitment to the WVU Classics. The Charleston Dinner presented by Northeast Natural Energy and Subway Development of West Virginia/Greg Hammond will open the spring slate of events on Monday, April 22, at the Charleston Civic Center. The event starts at 5:30 p.m., with a reception followed by dinner and a program. Table sponsorships and individual tickets are available now at wvumac.com/events.
The Coaches Caravan presented by United Bank will include five events across the state. Individual tickets and sponsorship opportunities are available for each location. The Caravan kicks off at River City Ale Works in Wheeling on May 6, followed directly by the Martinsburg Caravan at the Purple Iris on May 7 and the Parkersburg Caravan at JP Henry's on May 8. The tour moves south for two stops on May 21-22. The Chuck Mathena Center in Princeton will host the Coaches Caravan on May 21, followed by a stop at Calacino's Pizzeria in Beckley on May 22.
Again this year, the Mountaineer Athletic Club will host two WVU Classic events, each presented by Segra. The Sixth Annual WVU Classic at Pete Dye Golf Club will be held May 19-20. The tournament begins on Sunday with a Pairings Party at The Wonder Bar Steakhouse in Clarksburg followed by the golf tournament on Monday at Pete Dye Golf Club in Bridgeport.
The 37th Annual WVU Classic at Berry Hills will conclude the 2019 MAC spring calendar of events on June 6-7. The two-day event begins on Thursday with the WVU Classic Coaches Caravan and Pairings Party and concludes on Friday with the golf and tennis tournaments at Berry Hills Country Club.
WVU coaches, administrators and current and former student-athletes will be represented at each event, and a variety of packages and sponsorships are available for each WVU Classic event.
