Mountaineers Rank No. 2

AMES, Iowa – Following a pair of Great America Rifle Conference (GARC) road victories last weekend, the West Virginia University rifle team sits at No. 2 in this week's College Rifle Coaches Association (CRCA) Rankings.
Today's rankings are based on each team's highest score shot in its most recent weekend of action. WVU (4-0, 3-0) shot 4704 in a win at Ole Miss (4674) on Saturday, in Oxford, Mississippi. The squad also shot 4714 in a win against Memphis (4654) on Sunday, in Memphis, Tennessee.
TCU jumps to No. 1 with a 4732 score, and Kentucky remains at No. 3 (4686). Air Force and Ole Miss round out the top five, shooting 4682 and 4674, respectively.
Army and Akron are tied at No. 6 (4669), and Navy ranks No. 8 (4664). Alaska checks-in at No. 9 (4663) and is followed by Murray State at No. 10 (4662).
The Mountaineers will break from action before welcoming Akron to Morgantown on Saturday, Nov. 16, followed by NC State on Sunday, Nov. 17.
