"We expect a great match," fifth-year coach Reed Sunahara said. "They are going to come out strong, and so are we. In order to come out on top in a tough environment, we need to be consistent, and that's what we have been preaching all season."
The Mountaineers (10-9, 1-5) and the Horned Frogs (6-11, 1-6) will meet for the 16th time overall on Thursday and the 15th time in league play since WVU joined the Big 12 in 2012. In its most recent meeting, TCU captured a four-set win on Nov. 14, 2018, in Morgantown.
West Virginia holds a 3-4 mark on the road this season, capturing victories at Delaware (Aug. 31), Kansas State (Oct. 12) and Morehead State (Oct. 15).
