Mountaineers Maintain No. 1 Ranking

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Following a week away from competition, the West Virginia University rifle team ranks No. 1 in the College Rifle Coaches Association (CRCA) Rankings.
This week's rankings are based on the teams' last score shot.
WVU (1-0, 1-0) opened the season with a 4719-4642 win over Nebraska on Oct. 12.
TCU, the Mountaineers' next opponent, checks in at No. 2 for the second straight week, while Kentucky moves up to No. 3. Air Force sits at No. 4, and Navy ranks No. 5.
Akron ranks No. 6 and is followed by Ole Miss at No. 7 and Army at No. 8. Alaska and Memphis round out the top 10.
The Mountaineers return to competition this weekend, as the squad opens its home season with a match against No. 2 TCU, the 2019 NCAA National Champion, on Saturday, Oct. 26, at 9 a.m., inside the WVU Rifle Range, in Morgantown.
