MORGANTOWN, W.Va.– The West Virginia University rifle team continues to rank No. 2 in the College Rifle Coaches Association (CRCA) Rankings.
This week's rankings are based on NCAA Team Selection Rankings, which are comprised of a squad's top-three scores earned at three different venues. The Mountaineers (12-0, 7-0 GARC) claim an average of 4709.33.
TCU (4713) ranks No. 1, while Kentucky (4704.33) sits at No. 3. Air Force (4702) ranks No. 4, and Murray State (4699.97) checks-in at No. 5.
Alaska-Fairbanks (4683.33) sits at No. 6 and is followed by Ole Miss (4671.33) at No. 7. Memphis (4670.33), Navy (4668) and Jacksonville State (4667.33) round out the top 10.
The Mountaineers are off this weekend. Up next, the Great America Rifle Conference (GARC) regular-season title is on the line when WVU travels to reigning national champion No. 3 Kentucky. The first relay is set to begin Saturday, Feb. 9, at 8 a.m.
