
Inman Named Student-Athlete of the Week

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Following his power surge in last weekend's series win against UNLV, sophomore first baseman Marques Inman of the West Virginia University baseball team has been named the WVU Student-Athlete of the Week, presented by University Apartments.
Inman swung a hot bat to lead the Mountaineers in their three-game series against UNLV. The Elyria, Ohio, native hit .750 with a 1.875 slugging percentage and .833 on-base percentage with six hits in eight at-bats, including a home run in every game. He drove in five runs, scored five runs and added three walks, 15 total bases and was hit by a pitch once. On the week, Inman led the Big 12 Conference with a .667 batting average, nearly .100 points higher than the next-highest in the league, had a Big 12-best three home runs and 15 total bases, tied for third with five runs scored and tied for fourth with five RBIs.
Inman and the Mountaineers are set to take on Penn State at PNC Park in Pittsburgh on Tuesday night, before they return home to host rival Pitt on Wednesday and Big 12 foe Oklahoma State in a conference series Friday-Sunday.
