MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Six members of the West Virginia University diving team travel to the NCAA Zone A Diving Championships, in Piscataway, New Jersey, from March 5-7.
MEET INFO
Senior Logan McHenry, juniors Julia Calcut, Averly Hobbs, Austin Smith and Madelyn Woods and freshman Callie Smith will represent the Mountaineers at the three-day meet, held at the Rutgers University Aquatic Center.
The meet is set to determine the zone's qualifiers for the 2018 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships.
"Everything is setting up to be a very good meet," WVU diving coach Michael Grapner said. "It's nice to have a few days to practice so we can get the nerves out and prepare to compete. Based on what I've seen, I think the divers are ready. They all seem to be in good spirits and are focused on their dives. I have stressed confidence and aggressive diving all season. It's up to them to apply it and put their hard work to the test."
Live results can be found at meetcontrol.com/divemeets. Competition is set to begin with women's 1-meter and men's 3-meter on Monday, March 5, at 12 p.m. ET.
