MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Following a week away from action, the West Virginia University rifle team drops to No. 2 in this week's College Rifle Coaches Association (CRCA) Rankings.
Today's rankings are based on each team's highest score shot in its most recent weekend of action. The Mountaineers (8-0, 4-0 GARC) shot 4712 in a win at Army West Point (4658) on Oct. 27. They also shot a 4703 in a win against Coast Guard (4556) on Oct. 28. Both matches were held in West Point, New York.
Murray State moves up to No. 1 (4716), and TCU sits at No. 3 (4706). Air Force and Kentucky are tied at No. 4 (4694), and Alaska-Fairbanks ranks No. 6 (4693).
Memphis ranks No. 7 (4674) and is followed by Nebraska at No. 8 (4666). Navy ranks No. 9 (4665), and Ole Miss checks-in at No. 10 (4664).
The Mountaineers are away this weekend and will compete at No. 3 TCU on Saturday, Nov. 10, at 9 a.m. EST, in Fort Worth, Texas.
