WVU at No. 21 in USA Today Coaches Poll

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University women's basketball team ranks at No. 21 in the most recent USA Today Sports Coaches Poll, released on Tuesday.
The Mountaineers (4-1) previously came in at No. 20 in last week's poll. They received 59 votes in the most recent AP Top 25 Poll, which was announced Monday.
WVU earned 133 points in this week's poll and is one of four Big 12 teams to appear in the rankings. No. 5 Baylor received 661 points, while Texas ranks at No. 10 with 542 points. Iowa State joined the poll this week, coming in at No. 22 with 110 votes, while Kansas (6) and Oklahoma State (5) received votes but did not appear in the rankings.
The Mountaineers return to the court on Sunday when they host Missouri as part of the SEC/Big 12 Challenge in a 5 p.m. tipoff at the WVU Coliseum. The Tigers received 59 votes in this week's poll but did not make the rankings.
